Local Bids & Brews

A silent auction on a Friday evening at Haywire Brewing Co., raising money for Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County. Lots were solicited from local businesses and makers around the county.

A benefit event rather than a supply drive — different shape, same idea about getting a town involved in itself.

Where it went

The full $2,515 went to Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County, which runs a confidential emergency shelter, a 24-hour helpline, legal advocacy and support services for people leaving abusive situations in this county.

  • FormatSilent auction. Lots donated by local businesses and makers; bidding ran through the evening at the venue.
  • CostsNobody was paid. The venue hosted the event and the lots were donated, so the auction total went to the beneficiary rather than covering the event.
  • RelationshipA separate track from the supply drives. Roots Worth Tending organises the event and the money goes to the partner organisation directly — we don't hold or redistribute it.

Needs from you before this goes public: confirmation that the cost note above is accurate, the number of lots, and whether you want the beneficiary described in your own words instead of mine.
